Official opening of Caint speech therapy centre upcoming

An Open Day and official opening of the new Caint Speech Therapy premises in Devoy Quarter, Naas, will take place on Monday 11 December, writes Brian Byrne.

The Open Day event between 1-6pm will offer free consultation with members of Caint staff, and parents and teachers are welcome to attend.

The official opening will be from 6-7pm, with seasonal refreshments in the company of James Lawless TD and Aoife McGuire, Coordinator of Practice at Speech and Language Therapy in the Department of Clinical Therapies at the University of Limerick.

The service was established to offer speech and language therapy as well as related occupational and psychology therapies, against the background their shortfall of availability through the public health services.

In addition to Naas, Caint has clinics in Portmarnock, Dublin; Kilkenny; and Carlow.
