WHAT: Carolina Herrera Spring/Summer 2018. Venezuela-born designer Carolina Herrera showed her latest style offering for Spring 2018 at NYC's Museum of Modern Art during New York Fashion Week.

COLORS: Canary yellow, black and white, denim blue, salmon pink, mauve, lilac.

TRENDS: Puffy sleeves; Bright colors; 50's and 80's-like shapes (Big puffy sleeves, side-draped fitted sheath dresses and big ballgowns).

WHAT: Marc Jacobs Spring 2018. Jacobs' latest collection was (according to the program notes) "re-imagining of seasons past somewhere beyond the urban landscape of New York City". Maybe it was a look-back at past seasons in his collections and certainly, there was some Marc Jacobs style nostalgia on the runway including the turbans, oversized-wear, early 70's glamour; 80's Hip-hop; "Grey Gardens" style.

TRENDS: Oversized Jackets; Pajama-wear; Fanny-packs; Capes; Overalls; Bag-lady Chic; Late 60's/early 70's "Valley of the Dolls" Hollywood; Sequined Dresses, gowns.

COLORS: Lots of COLOR! Orange; Bubblegum Pink; 70's Psychedelic prints; Yellow; Aquamarine; White; Blue; Salmon Pink; Silver gray.
