A reminder of a few things happening in town that will firmly put the Christmas weekend into effect,

The Bridge Camphill annual
Santa Sleigh Ride through the town (above) will take place tomorrow, Friday, at 5pm.
And tomorrow night, the
Carols by Candlelight celebration in Brannockstown Baptist Church will feature a specially convened Community Choir, at 7pm in one of the most atmospheric church locations in the area. Always a busy evening, so get your place early.
Through Saturday, the
Vincent's Shop will be raising toasts and generally festive cheer-making for all the wonderful people who have supported the shop through the year, and helped make the life of struggling families a little easier.
An Tearmann's
Christmas bellringing event will take place on Saturday also, at 6pm. All friends and customers are invited to join the musicians and staff for punch and mince pies and some storytelling in what has become a regular tradition for many in the town.
The
Lions Christmas Appeal begins tomorrow, Friday, and will continue through until and including Christmas Eve, at the usual storefront locations.
And while you're passing through the town, take a detour to admire the
Christmas tree in Market Square, which had some decorations placed on it yesterday by children from the Kilcullen Community Childcare and Education Centre.
By the way, the
Christmas edition of The Bridge is also on sale, and packed full of news and interesting features, as well as advertisements for various shops and services in Kilcullen which makes it a very useful issue to keep in a drawer for when you need something done or provided in a hurry.
As always, the
Diary will be taking it easier for the few days over Christmas, but if anything of serious import occurs, we'll be ready to report it. Meantime, have a great Christmas, everyone.
